Description
In this role, you will support both the clinical and administrative sides of the clinic, assisting providers with patient care while also helping ensure smooth front-office operations. From greeting patients to administering allergy injections and coordinating patient information, you will help create a seamless and positive experience for every patient who walks through our doors.

Clinic Schedule & Hours:
Monday, 7:15am-4:30pm (Kyle)
Tuesday, 7:45am- 5:00pm (New Braunfels)
Wednesday, 7:45am- 5:00pm (Kyle)
Thursday, 7:15am-4:30pm (New Braunfels)
Friday, 7:45am-12:00pm (New Braunfels)
What You'll Be Doing
- Support assigned medical providers in delivering high-quality patient care throughout the clinic day
- Assist with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of the provider
- Escort patients to exam rooms and obtain vitals, medical history, and current medications
- Communicate allergy testing procedures and treatment protocols to patients
- Administer subcutaneous, intradermal, and intramuscular injections as directed by the provider and within scope of practice
- Perform spirometry and other diagnostic testing accurately according to clinic protocols and provider direction
- Monitor incoming pharmacy shipments and prepare medications for patient pick-up
- Assist providers and clinical team members in responding to anaphylactic reactions and other urgent patient needs
- Document accurate patient information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
- Maintain clinic flow and support patient volume to ensure timely and efficient care
- Reaching out to insurance providers to obtain CT authorizations
- Greet and check in patients while creating a welcoming and professional environment
- Answer incoming phone calls and provide accurate information and assistance
- Schedule and reschedule patient appointments using the clinic scheduling system
- Collect patient payments for appointments and outstanding balances
- Ensure patient demographic, insurance, and referral information is accurate in the EHR
- Reaching out to insurance providers to obtain CT authorizations.
- Prepare patient charts and organize paperwork for upcoming appointments
- Scan and attach documents to patient records in the EHR
- Request medical records from outside providers when needed
- Coordinate allergen vial transfers and assist with clinical inventory tracking
- Maintain supplies in the clinic, front desk, and common areas
- Process incoming mail and assist with administrative clinic tasks
- Ensure end-of-day reports and logs are accurate and complete
- Follow all HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and confidentiality
- Adhere to OSHA requirements including universal precautions and sharps disposal guidelines
- Follow clinic protocols and directions provided by clinical leadership and medical providers
- Perform all testing and treatment in accordance with Aspire Allergy & Sinus clinical protocols and safety measures
Requirements
- Must have basic knowledge of medical terminology
- Must possess exceptional customer service skills
- Must be able to effectively and clearly communicate with others to exchange information effectively
- Must be able to administer subcutaneous, intradermal and intramuscular injections
- Must be able to manually take patient vital signs
- Must possess the ability to maintain effective working relationship with patients, medical staff and the public
- Must possess the ability to react calmly and effectively in a difficult or emergent situation
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, balance with full range of body motion including handling and lifting up to (20) lbs
- Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer/keyboard at (50) wpm, calculator, telephone, copier and fax
- Requires the ability to operate a motor vehicle to travel between clinics
- Must have a valid driver's license
- 6+ Months of Front Office
- Completed Medical Assistant Program or Degree
- 1+ Years of Medical Assistant Experience
- 1+ Years of Medical Receptionist Experience
- Medical Assistant Certificate, vocational nurse license or related experience
- Current CPR Certification
