smartdept. is searching for an Ad Copywriter for a luxury travel client. This is a remote freelance opportunity. This copywriter will help shape the voice of high-end advertising campaigns for a global luxury travel brand. The role blends big-picture concepting with polished, detail-driven writing across digital, print, video, and experiential channels.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop campaign concepts across digital, print, OOH, broadcast, film, and experiential
• Partner with team to make sure visuals and copy work together seamlessly
• Write taglines, manifestos, brand narratives, and script treatments for seasonal and annual campaigns
• Craft short-form copy for paid social (Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest), display, and editorial placements
• Write long-form pieces like brand books, lookbooks, and high-net-worth direct response materials
• Create copy for e-commerce pages, paid search, microsites, and CRM workflows
• Adapt and elevate brand tone-of-voice guidelines across product categories
• Audit and refine existing client materials for tone and consistency
• Present creative work and explain the thinking behind it
• Turn client feedback around quickly on tight timelines

What You’ll Need:

• Education/Experience:
• Professional copywriting experience, with significant time inside an ad agency, creative boutique, or in-house luxury brand agency
• Online portfolio of produced advertising work required, with clear examples of luxury, prestige, or high-end lifestyle writing
• Strong instinct for luxury tone: restraint, subtext, and aspirational pacing
• Comfort with agency pace, including tight deadlines, multiple approval layers, and pitch work

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience writing for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth audiences
• Working knowledge of conversion metrics, SEO for luxury brands, and UX writing
• Familiarity with regulatory considerations in high-end categories (sustainable sourcing, certified luxury goods, financial compliance)
