Job Description

As a Security Officer Hospital Deescalation Patrol in Boca Raton, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication. You may assist with hospital protocols, including supporting staff during patient restraint situations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including requests for assistance, disturbances, medical emergencies, and facility-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, and report unauthorized access or suspicious behavior to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and concerns to supervisors and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be willing to receive required hospital vaccinations.
• Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
