Senior Electrical Engineer | Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls
Philippines | Offshore Engineering Delivery
- Lead complex electrical engineering workstreams across diverse infrastructure projects
- Shape high-quality technical outcomes from concept design through to commissioning
- Mentor engineers, strengthen standards and influence multidisciplinary delivery
The Opportunity
Fyfe is expanding its offshore engineering capability, and we're looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer in the Philippines to help deliver complex, multidisciplinary projects across power, renewable energy, transport, resources and industrial infrastructure.
Reporting to a Team Leader or Project Manager, you'll combine hands-on electrical engineering with project ownership, client support and team development. You'll contribute throughout the project lifecycle, from feasibility and concept design through to detailed design, commissioning and site support.
This is a broad senior engineering role where you can lead technical workstreams, coordinate multidisciplinary inputs and improve the quality of project delivery. You'll also have the opportunity to mentor engineers, strengthen technical standards and contribute to proposals and client engagement.
The Impact You'll Have
- Lead electrical engineering workstreams on complex projects, maintaining control of scope, schedule and technical quality.
- Deliver and review electrical, instrumentation and controls designs, calculations, specifications, reports, drawings and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate engineers, designers and drafters to produce integrated, practical and compliant project outcomes.
- Guide clients, contractors and vendors through technical matters, design reviews, workshops, commissioning and project support.
- Mentor engineers and graduate engineers, providing clear technical direction and constructive quality feedback.
- Strengthen electrical engineering standards, safe working practices and best-practice delivery across the team.
What You'll Bring
You'll bring broad electrical engineering capability, sound technical judgement and the confidence to lead defined project workstreams with appropriate independence.
- A bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Instrumentation, Control Systems Engineering or a related discipline.
- Relevant post-graduate engineering experience across power, renewables, resources, transport, mining, oil and gas or industrial infrastructure projects.
- Experience in one or more areas such as power and electrification, E&I, controls, substations, primary systems, earthing, protection, SCADA, renewable energy or hazardous-area design.
- The ability to prepare and review accurate, compliant engineering deliverables using relevant design software and technical tools.
- Working knowledge of applicable engineering codes, Australian Standards, international standards and client requirements.
- Strong multidisciplinary coordination skills and clear written and verbal communication for client, contractor and technical engagement.
- The capability to mentor or lead engineers and graduate engineers while supporting a high-performance, safety-focused culture.
Progress towards, or attainment of, Chartered Professional Engineer, RPEQ or an equivalent registration will be well regarded where relevant to the role.
