Senior Virtualization Specialist

Description

Every GEOINT site depends on virtual servers that are built right the first time. QBE is looking for a Senior Virtualization Specialist at Fort Gordon, GA, to analyze and improve the virtual server systems behind Scalable GEOINT. You'll make sure hosted enterprise virtual servers are delivered with the right storage, redundancy, networking and virtual hardware.

What you will do 

• Dig into technical, business and data processing problems and turn your findings into better computer systems. 
• Translate user requirements and pain points into automation and improvements to existing systems. 
• Assess system capabilities, workflows and scheduling limits, and recommend commercial software that closes the gaps. 
• Bring planning, resource allocation, leadership and coordination skills to keep people and work moving. 
• Configure hosted enterprise virtual servers and hand them to administrators with the right storage, redundancy, networking and virtual hardware, from RAM sizing and CPU count to failover priority. 

Requirements

What you bring
Must have:   

• 7–10+ years of experience in systems administration/engineering. 
• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. 
• Significant systems analysis experience and expert knowledge of virtualization technologies, specifically Red Hat OpenShift. 
• Cyber certification: DoWM 8140.03 baseline certification and CE certification before privileged access. 

What makes you stand out 

• Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration (highly desired).
