This is an exciting opportunity for a business-savvy salesperson to join a growing cross-regional APAC team and cover the data & feed business line! The role specializes in leading and structuring sales of software and data products to Portfolio Managers and Analysts, Quantitative Researchers, Economists, Academics and other data-driven professionals. Recently the business has grown significantly, and with an exciting roadmap of new products and enhancements.

We are looking for someone to drive the Data Feeds business to both existing and new clients, with future potential territory expansion depending on performance.

The role will receive extensive training and support, and involves working in close partnership with internal stakeholders from account managers, solutions consultants and customer success managers to proactively drive revenue growth.

How You'll be successful

• Cover the assigned territory within Japan for Data Feeds products, buyside focused
• Creatively structure, negotiate and close deals
• Proactively and consistently hunt for new opportunities
• Develop the sales strategy within assigned territory / account base
• Build long term relationships with clients across the financial industry, but also extending to universities, FinTechs, Consultancies, etc.
• Deliver customer demonstrations on our product offerings

Who you are

• Deep understanding of the financial sector in Japan (especially the buyside)
• Knowledge of a quant researcher’s workflow a plus
• Strong sales ‘closer’
• Strong presentation skills (verbal & written)
• Native Japan and Business English a must
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Experience executing sales strategies
• 6 years+ of industry, sales or market experience
• Proven track record in a quota bearing sales environment
• Experience selling SaaS solutions a plus
