THE ROLE
Our client needs an Instructional Systems Designer who has already designed training for Sage X3, Sage’s enterprise ERP for manufacturing and distribution. You’ll lead the design of end-user training and performance support that gets employees confident and performing in the system, from first login to complex, cross-module workflows.
What You'll Do
- Analyze user roles and tasks to define what each role must be able to do in Sage X3
- Design role-based curriculum across financial management, supply chain management, and production management
- Build eLearning, software simulations, online tutorials, and assessments in Articulate Storyline and Rise
- Create performance support (job aids, quick-reference guides, user manuals, and in-app help) that users can reach at the moment of need
- Produce short how-to videos and system walkthroughs in Camtasia, including screen capture, editing, and narration
- Bring a usability lens to how users move through X3 screens, and design training around where they get stuck
- Maintain learning products against established content and style standards as configurations and releases change
- Partner with SMEs, system admins, and project teams to capture workflows accurately and align training timelines with the rollout plan
What We're Looking For
- Required: hands-on experience designing training for Sage X3
- 5+ years in instructional design, ISD, or curriculum development for ERP or enterprise software
- A strong grasp of manufacturing and distribution processes like procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, and resource planning
- Technical writing experience, such as help systems, user guides, or software documentation
- Clear writing for non-technical audiences
- Experience working on a global learning team or across multiple software products
Why This Role?
- Few people can say they’ve designed training for Sage X3. If you’re one of them, this is your chance to come in as the system expert and shape how an organization learns it.
