India Global Capability Center Lead- Cencora Business Service (CBS)
Position Summary
The India Global Capability Center (GCC) Leader is responsible for the strategic leadership, operational performance, growth, and long-term evolution of the India CBS Global Capability Center. This executive role leads the development of a world-class capability hub that delivers high-quality, scalable services and specialized expertise to Cencora businesses and corporate functions globally.
The GCC Leader will drive the expansion of global service delivery capabilities, oversee further expansion of our operations, partner with Global Operations Leads (GOLs), Functional/Business Leaders, and Global Process Owners (GPOs), and ensure the GCC becomes a strategic enabler of transformation, standardization, automation, and operational excellence across the enterprise.
As the India center has been experiencing rapid growth (from zero to 1000 employees in 30 months) and we expect this aggressive growth path to continue in the next 2 -3 years, the Center Leader will play a crucial role to ensure the growth of the center still safeguards the values based culture by providing executive coaching to leadership in a matrixed operating model where functions and business own the service delivery whilst the center lead drives the culture that enables every employee to perform at their best.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & GCC Growth
- Define and execute the multi-year strategy for the Global Capability Center in alignment with the CBS vision and enterprise/business/functional priorities.
- Develop and expand the GCC as a strategic delivery center supporting global functions including IT, Finance, HR, Procurement, Customer Service, Master Data, and other enterprise capabilities.
- Identify opportunities to broaden services, enhance capabilities, and create enterprise value through centralized delivery models.
- Build the GCC brand internally as a trusted business partner and center of excellence.
- Provide strategic direction to the overall eco-system of service delivery across India.
Stakeholder Partnership
- Serve as the primary GCC leadership interface with executive stakeholders, Global Operations Leads, Functional Leaders, and Business Unit leadership teams.
- Establish regular governance forums, service reviews, and strategic planning discussions.
- Align GCC priorities with business objectives while proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and expansion.
- Act as an escalation point for critical operational issues and transformation initiatives.
Operational Excellence & Digital Transformation
- Champion Lean, Six Sigma, automation, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Drive adoption of enabling technologies, digital workflows, self-service capabilities, robotic process automation (RPA), AI-enabled solutions, and advanced analytics.
- Partner with CBS transformation and technology teams to modernize service delivery models and improve productivity.
- Promote a data-driven culture where decisions are based on meaningful service and operational performance indicators.
Talent & Culture Leadership
- Build and lead a diverse, high-performing and value based organization capable of supporting global operations.
- Develop leadership pipelines, succession planning, and capability-building programs.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Drive employee engagement and position the GCC as an employer of choice within its market.
Financial & Resource Management
- Own the GCC operating budget and workforce strategy.
- Deliver productivity improvements and cost efficiencies while maintaining service quality.
- Develop business cases supporting capability expansion, technology investments, and transformation initiatives.

Experience
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in Global Business Services, Shared Services, Global Capability Centers, Business Process Outsourcing, or large-scale operational organizations.
- Demonstrated experience establishing, scaling, or transforming a Global Capability Center.
- Proven leadership of large, multi-functional organizations supporting global stakeholders.
- Significant experience leading enterprise-wide transformation, process migration, and organizational change initiatives.
- Experience working with executive leadership and global business stakeholders.
- Experience building a high performing and values based culture

Ideal Candidate Profile
A visionary and execution-focused leader who can transform the CBS Global Capability Center into a strategic enterprise asset. The successful candidate will combine strong operational discipline with the ability to influence senior leaders, accelerate global process transformation, build world-class talent, establish an inclusive and values based culture, and drive measurable business value through scalable, technology-enabled service delivery.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business administration, public policy, economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
Master's degree in business administration, operations, or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
12+ years of experience in general management, market access, country leadership, business growth strategy, or a related field required. 8+ years of experience in a management capacity required.
Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Chartered Manager (CMgr), or equivalent preferred.
