This role is offered in a hybrid working model, allowing you to combine flexibility with meaningful in‑office collaboration.

Why this role is important to us

Credit Control is critical to ensuring State Street’s credit risk profile remains well governed, visible, and within risk appetite. Your new role

As a Risk Manager, Officer you will:

  • Turn data into insight by delivering clear, high‑quality risk metrics and commentary that senior stakeholders rely on for decision‑making

  • Help strengthen the control environment- improving data quality, supporting audits and regulatory reviews, and contributing to smarter, more efficient processes through automation and continuous improvement

  • Work closely with Risk Managers and partner teams across the organization

  • Play a visible role in keeping the firm within risk appetite while helping modernize how Credit Control operates

What we value

These skills will help you succeed in this role:

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with high attention to detail, accuracy, and data quality

  • Ability to independently manage structured, recurring deliverables while effectively handling ad hoc, time-sensitive requests

  • Clear and confident communicator with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset and ability to challenge where appropriate

  • Strong ownership and accountability for end-to-end delivery of tasks, with a focus on driving continuous improvement and efficiency

Education & Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline, gained through education or hands‑on professional experience

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Risk or Compliance (control, reporting or analytical role)

  • Fluency in English with strong written and verbal communication skills in a professional environment

  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large datasets; experience preparing management presentations (PowerPoint)

Additional requirements:

  • Strong interest in data, controls, and understanding processes end-to-end, with the ability to identify gaps and propose improvements

  • Comfortable working with international stakeholders and contributing effectively in a global, cross-functional environment

  • Well-organized, proactive, and results-oriented, with the ability to prioritize independently and manage competing deadlines

  • Exposure to automation tools (Spotfire, Power BI, VBA, SQL, or similar) is a plus- but curiosity and willingness to learn matter more than prior expertise

  • The position requires office presence at least 3 days per week
