Description
Mechanical Project Engineer
Join our team and help build projects that make an impact. We're looking for a motivated Mechanical Project Engineer who is ready to grow, contribute, and take an active role in supporting our projects from both the field and office. You'' work closely with our Project Management and Field Teams to solve problems, improve efficiency, and help deliver quality projects from start to finish.
What You’ll Do
You’ll play a key role across the full project lifecycle, including:
Office Responsibilities
- Support estimating efforts: set up estimates, perform quantity takeoffs, track historical data, and learn computer take-off software.
- Prepare and manage project documents including submittals, O&M manuals, contracts, and permit applications.
- Assist with material purchasing and tracking, timecards, purchase orders, and general project documentation.
- Help pre-plan projects by organizing drawings, specifications, meeting materials, and procurement needs.
- Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and industry partners.
Ensure compliance with company standards and procedures.
Field Responsibilities
- Aid with project layout, daily documentation, and coordination of job site activities.
- Support safety and quality control efforts.
- Review submittals and shop drawings as assigned.
- Verify material deliveries and quantities.
Learn how multiple trades and scopes integrate on a project.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field (ABET-accredited), or 5+ years of relevant field experience.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Timberline is a plus.

- Interest in mastering both office and field operations to grow into project management or estimating.
- Understanding of job cost tracking, labor management, and change order processes.
Work Hours
Work hours will be from 7:00AM to 5:00PM Monday through Thursday and 7:00AM to 12:00PM Fridays
