Description
Mission Delivery Manager
Hiring Range: $50,000 – $60,000
Location: On-site in Lake Worth, FL or Remote
Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida has a fantastic opportunity available for a Mission Delivery Manager.
If you enjoy variety, can move confidently between different types of work, and love turning plans into action, this may be the role for you!
As a Mission Delivery Manager, you will lead and support high-priority projects, programs, campaigns, events, and initiatives across Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida. You will be assigned to different Council priorities throughout the year based on organizational needs and seasonal demands, as well as your individual strengths and experience.
Throughout the year, you may find yourself:
- Coordinating operations for a signature event (i.e. Mall Madness, STEAMapalooza, Rock the Noc)
- Supporting membership recruitment or troop formation at a local school
- Developing and delivering girl programming
- Scheduling volunteers
- Building community partnerships
- Supporting Product Program initiatives, including the Cookie Sale
- Working with summer camp, and more!
Depending on the assignment, you may lead a project or work alongside a functional leader with expertise in that area. From planning through execution, you will coordinate people and resources, manage timelines and logistics, track progress, solve problems, and help ensure every detail comes together successfully.
Reporting to the Director of Mission Delivery, you will work across departments and develop a broad knowledge of Council operations. You will be expected to learn quickly, adapt to changing assignments, build strong working relationships, and bring your skills to different kinds of mission-focused work throughout the year.
As a Mission Delivery Manager, you will also represent Girl Scouts throughout our communities (from Sebastian to Miramar), building relationships with girls, families, volunteers, schools, community organizations, and other partners. Whether you are supporting a recruitment campaign, coordinating a girl experience, working an event, or leading a Council initiative, your focus will be on creating a high-quality experience and achieving measurable results.
Who are we seeking?
- Someone who can successfully plan and execute projects, programs, events, campaigns, or initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, deadlines, and moving parts.
- A strong organizer who can establish priorities, coordinate resources, manage timelines, track deliverables, and follow through on commitments.
- Someone who enjoys variety and can successfully transition between projects, functional areas, and different types of work as organizational needs change.
- A proactive problem solver who can work independently, exercise sound judgment, identify risks or barriers, and know when to escalate an issue.
- A strong communicator who can build productive relationships with colleagues, volunteers, families, community partners, and other stakeholders.
- Someone comfortable taking the lead when needed, while also working effectively under the direction of another leader.
- A collaborative team member who is willing to cross traditional departmental lines, share knowledge, and contribute wherever the Council needs support most.
- Someone who can use goals, participation data, budgets, timelines, and other measures to monitor progress and evaluate results.
- A professional who provides excellent customer service and can represent Girl Scouts effectively in schools, community settings, events, programs, and partner meetings.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and the ability to learn and effectively use CRM, registration, project-management, reporting, and other technology platforms. Experience with Salesforce or similar systems is preferred.
What else will you need?
- Bachelor's degree preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience will be considered.
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional experience in one or more areas such as program or event management, community engagement, membership or customer acquisition, recruitment, business development, or project management.
- Experience working with youth-serving, community-based, educational, membership, or nonprofit organizations is strongly preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish, French, Haitian Creole, or another language commonly spoken within our service area is preferred.
- Ability to travel regularly throughout the Council's service area and work in a variety of settings, including offices, schools, community locations, outdoor environments, programs, and events. (GSSEF assigns employees to locations close to home when possible, though some assignments do require travel to other areas within the Council's service territory.)
- Flexibility to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends as required by assigned initiatives.
- Access to reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record and eligibility for coverage under applicable Council insurance.
What will you get?
- We are an energetic group that works really hard, but we also like to have lots of FUN! We're building future leaders of tomorrow, so we provide development opportunities that foster both professional and personal growth and an exceptional benefits package that includes paid holidays, a summer shut-down, and a winter break!
- We provide an exceptional work environment; vacation and sick time; subsidized medical and dental insurance; free Teladoc, employee assistance program access, life and disability insurance; and offer for employees to fund through payroll deductions additional life insurance, an FSA, a pre-paid legal plan, and vision coverage. Team members also receive discounts at our Council shop and are eligible to participate in a 401-K plan with employer match from day one with no vesting period!
- In addition, all team members are invited to join our Culture and Inclusion in Action team, participate in Dog Days of Summer, Health & Wellness challenges, and enjoy a 4-day work week with remote Mondays after an introductory period!
- This position has the option to be either in-based in Lake Worth, FL or remote.
