This position supports our workers' compensation line of business, Eastern Alliance, and is hybrid, reporting to one of our Eastern Alliance office locations approximately two times per month.

We are filling two openings.

This position is responsible for the accurate completion of assigned field audits in a professional, ethical manner, consistent with company and state guidelines. Establishes appropriate classifications, exposures and basis of premium. Manages time and workload so as to maximize number of audits performed and minimize expenses. Recommends corrective action necessary to resolve problems that are found during audit process. Prepares necessary numerical and written reports. Advises appropriate party of any changes in customer’s operations, payrolls, attitudes, financial stability, etc.

What you'll do:

  • 60% - Responsible for selecting audit assignments, performing territorial management of process with focus on larger accounts, productivity, timeliness, and expense management. Conduct various types of audits reviewing the insured’s business operations, including examining, verifying and recording pertinent classification-related data from financial/business records.
  • Ability to work remotely, independently, with minimal oversight and supervision.
  • Discuss issues with the insured to ensure understanding of issues and to maintain good customer relations.
  • 20% - Office work performing scheduling of assigned audits, transmitting completed audits, and inventory management.
  • 10% - Assist with management as needed. For example, training of new staff.
  • 5% - Handle and oversee audit disputes and non-cooperative audits as needed. Communicate audit results and decisions to customers respecting business relationships. Identify issues to be addressed by underwriter.
  • 5% - Attend related training seminars as needed. Travel, possibly overnight on occasional basis.

What we're looking for:

  • This position requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, insurance or related field, and a minimum of one year premium audit related experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer applications; ability to learn new computer software applications.
  • Attention to detail in processing information, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, including formulating logical and objective conclusions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization as well as with outside customers and clients.
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision; ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time.
  • Ability to attend insurance industry/business functions to promote and present a positive image of the Company.

Position Salary Range

$57,575.00 - $95,008.00

The salary range displayed represents the entirety of the pay grade for this position. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the range. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have, your location and comparison to other team members already in this role.
