Now Hiring: Electrical Technician – Weekend Shift
Industrial Electrical & Automation
Openwork is hiring an experienced Electrical Technician for an established manufacturing company in Oklahoma City, OK 73179.
This hands-on position focuses on industrial electrical wiring, control panel assembly, PLCs, VFDs, and troubleshooting electrical systems.
Qualified candidates must have at least 3 years of electrical experience, including hands-on experience with industrial controls, PLCs, VFDs, and electrical schematics.
Position Details:
- Location: Oklahoma City, OK 73179.
- Pay: $22–$27/hr, based on experience.
- Schedule: Fri–Sun, 6:00 AM–6:30 PM.
- Shift: Weekend Shift.
- Employment: Full-Time | Direct Hire.
- Overtime: As needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, assemble, and wire industrial electrical control panels.
- Install and connect PLCs, VFDs, relays, transformers, and sensors.
- Read and follow electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Wire motors, control panels, and electrical components.
- Test and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment.
- Use multimeters and other electrical testing tools.
- Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy.
- Follow electrical safety procedures and maintain a safe work area.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of electrical experience required.
- Hands-on PLC and VFD experience required.
- Industrial control panel wiring experience required.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Electrical troubleshooting experience required.
- Ability to communicate and understand English.
- Experience with industrial electrical systems or manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to use electrical testing and diagnostic tools.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Dependable attendance and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
Important: Residential or commercial electrical experience alone does not qualify. Candidates must have hands-on experience with industrial controls, PLCs, VFDs, and control panel wiring.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Non-climate-controlled manufacturing facility.
- Work around industrial machinery and electrical equipment.
- Industrial noise requiring hearing protection.
- Ability to lift 25–50 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
- Follow required PPE and electrical safety procedures.
