As the PTN Billing and Coding Specialist you will support ProMedica’s Patient Transportation Network’s client/patient transport needs.
You will determine appropriate means of transportation and the responsible payor and communicate information to insurance providers to obtain authorization for patient transport. You will provide a consultative role in the billing department and will have coding responsibilities and handle rejections/appeals.

REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of one (1) year of medical billing and coding experience.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree
Knowledge of insurance guidelines, federal regulations, and community resources
Billing, financial or discharge planning experience
