Job Description Summary

As the Senior Director, ITSM & ServiceNow Platform Leader, you will serve as the steward of GE Vernova’s enterprise service ecosystem. Following the successful stand-up of our platform, this role is a pivotal leadership position tasked with scaling our capabilities, maturing our operational excellence, and driving an AI-first innovation agenda. You will lead a large-scale, high-performing organization responsible for the vision, governance, and delivery of transformative workflows across the enterprise. In addition to platform ownership, you will spearhead the integration of newly acquired businesses into our standard operating model, ensuring rapid time-to-value and enterprise alignment.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

  • Strategic Platform Leadership: Define and execute the long-term vision and roadmap for the ServiceNow ecosystem. Transition the platform from a core utility to an enterprise-wide driver of digital transformation, productivity, and AI-enabled innovation.

  • Operational Excellence & Scale: Own the stability, performance, and scalability of the platform. Cultivate a "customer-obsessed" culture that prioritizes operational rigor, high availability, and best-in-class user experiences.

  • Organizational Leadership: Lead, mentor, and scale a large, diverse team of domain experts. Foster a servant-leadership environment characterized by curiosity, psychological safety, and a relentless commitment to professional development and high-impact delivery.

  • Enterprise Integration & M&A: Serve as the primary driver for integrating new acquisitions into GE Vernova’s service standards. Define the "day one" and "steady state" strategies for platform adoption, process harmonization, and user migration.

  • AI-First Innovation: Champion the adoption of next-gen AI and automation technologies to simplify IT tools, reduce operational friction, and generate tangible cost-out opportunities.

  • Cross-Functional Advocacy: Act as a strategic partner to CTOs, Business Unit leaders, and Global Operations. Influence stakeholders at all levels to break down silos, ensure compliance, and promote a unified service management standard.

  • Governance & Financial Stewardship: Establish robust governance frameworks that balance agility with strict adherence to security and compliance requirements. Manage departmental resources with full financial accountability and operational transparency.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, STEM, or related field.

  • Leadership Experience: 10 years of progressive leadership experience in IT infrastructure, Service Management, or Enterprise Platform roles within a global, complex, matrixed organization.

  • Technical Depth: Deep subject matter expertise in ServiceNow platform architecture, ITSM, and enterprise workflow automation.

  • Transformation Track Record: Proven success in leading large-scale organizational change, M&A integration, and the deployment of enterprise-wide standard work.

  • Executive Presence: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence C-suite stakeholders and align diverse business units around a common technical vision.

Desired Leadership Characteristics

  • Servant Leader: You prioritize your team’s success, clear obstacles for your reports, and foster a culture of inclusivity and radical candor.

  • Architect of Culture: You build high-trust organizations that celebrate intellectual curiosity, agility, and a "fail-fast, learn-faster" mindset.

  • Resilience & Judgment: You thrive in high-stakes environments, capable of making difficult trade-offs with clarity, speed, and composure.

  • Strategic Rigor: You are as comfortable discussing long-term AI strategy as you are reviewing operational KPIs and incident management reports.
