Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Machinists for projects located in or around Michigan City, IN. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $35-$40/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
- Set up and operate manual lathes and machining equipment
- Set up and operate CNC equipment as required
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Machine parts to precise tolerances and dimensions
- Use micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify part accuracy
- Inspect finished parts to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Follow production schedules and work instructions
Requirements:
- Previous experience operating and setting up manual lathes
- Experience with CNC equipment preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Proficiency using micrometers and other precision measuring tools
- Strong understanding of machining tolerances and quality control procedures
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Requirements

- Minimum of 3 years in the *trade* field
- Must own basic Hand Tools
- Must wear proper PPE
