- Always operate in a safe manner, following all company rules including 100% adherence to PPE
- Develops, evaluates, and improves methods while emphasizing the implementation of quality, efficiency, process, costing, and equipment improvements
- Lead cross-functional teams to investigate root cause of Customer Line Claims found through part returns to eliminate the root cause and establish ICA’s and PCA’s
- Observes and assists higher level Engineers in resolving problematic issues related to specific areas of technology, equipment and processes
- Provide continuous updates to Customer QE pertaining to status of current Customer improvement items
- Ensure manufacturing facilities establish clear and concise timelines for when action items will be implemented and ensure they work towards meeting these timelines
- Prepare and distribute Daily/Weekly/Monthly reports to the management
- Track continuous improvement through measurable reports/graphs
Knowledge, skills & abilities:
- This position performs job duties in an ethical and professional manner, ensuring Compliance to all Quality related Customer and Internal requirements
- Preference to Certification in formal problem-solving methodologies
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction is required as are strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with PCs and application software, such as MS Office tools is required
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent manufacturing experience
Experience:
- 1-3 years prior manufacturing related experience preferred
- Working experience with problem solving tools, SPC, GD&T, and 8D
- Previous working experience with Automotive Quality Operating Systems
Physical Demands:
- Required to sit or stand for long periods of time
- The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- Ability to work 40 – 60 hours per week, including weekends and holiday work as required
Travel:
Up to 5% domestic and international may be required as needed
Work Environment:
Working in an office environment with exposure to manufacturing areas
