Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and self-motivated Maintenance Technician with at least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience to support the reliability and operation of our manufacturing equipment.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who can work independently with limited supervision. This position requires someone who is comfortable troubleshooting equipment, identifying problems, developing solutions, and completing repairs even when detailed documentation, manuals, or drawings are not readily available.
Our facility utilizes a variety of industrial equipment, including hydraulic presses, lathes, mixing equipment, industrial walk-in ovens, and other manufacturing machinery.
The successful candidate should have strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and practical experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Welding and fabrication skills are highly desirable. Electrical experience is preferred but not required.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance, machine repair, or related hands-on experience.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions with limited supervision.
- Self-starter with the ability to identify maintenance needs and take action without being constantly directed.
- Ability to troubleshoot, disassemble, repair, modify, and reassemble industrial machinery and equipment.
- Ability to select and properly operate appropriate hand tools, power tools, specialty tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to work safely and effectively when equipment documentation, drawings, or manuals are limited or unavailable.
- Ability to communicate maintenance issues, repair recommendations, and completed work effectively to coworkers and supervisors.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

- Maintain and repair manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime and ensure reliable operation.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery and facility equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and control-system problems.
- Diagnose equipment failures and determine the appropriate method of repair.
- Repair, rebuild, replace, adjust, and modify machinery and components as required.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on equipment including, but not limited to:
- Hydraulic presses
- Industrial walk-in ovens
- Mixing equipment
- Lathes and other machine tools
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Motors and motor-driven equipment
- Manufacturing and production machinery
- Install, adjust, align, and calibrate mechanical equipment and components.
- Perform welding, fabrication, machining, and other repair work as needed.
- Use measuring instruments and diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical and equipment problems and verify repairs.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, diagrams, sketches, engineering specifications, work orders, and other available documentation when applicable.
- Develop practical repair solutions when equipment documentation or manufacturer information is unavailable.
- Identify recurring equipment problems and recommend improvements to increase reliability and reduce downtime.
- Utilize maintenance software to track and log work.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all plant safety policies, procedures, and applicable safety regulations.
- Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on maintenance professional who can figure things out. We are looking for someone who does not need to be given step-by-step instructions for every repair and who is comfortable diagnosing unfamiliar equipment.
A successful technician will be able to look at a machine, understand how its mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components work together, identify the source of a problem, and determine a practical way to get the equipment operating again.
