Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a Systems Architect to lead the design and evolution of our enterprise data ecosystem. In this role, you'll help connect and optimize the flow of information across clinical, financial, human resources, revenue cycle, and operational systems, ensuring leaders and teams have access to trusted data when they need it most.
As a technical leader, you'll oversee enterprise data architecture, integrations, and analytics initiatives that support patient care, research, business operations, and strategic decision-making. Your work will help ensure data is accurate, accessible, and actionable across the organization.

The starting annual salary for this position is $130,222 and this can include a full comprehensive benefits package.
What You'll Do:
As a Systems Architect, Enterprise Data & Integrations, you will:
Lead a team responsible for enterprise data architecture, integrations, and data management solutions.
Design and optimize data pipelines that move information across clinical, operational, financial, and workforce systems.
Oversee enterprise ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and ensure data is transferred accurately, securely, and efficiently.
Develop and maintain scalable data models, reporting datasets, semantic layers, and data virtualization solutions.
Partner with business leaders, reporting teams, and technical stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver effective solutions.
Establish and promote best practices for data governance, validation, reconciliation, and quality management.
Ensure consistency and reliability of enterprise data used for reporting, analytics, regulatory requirements, and operational decision-making.
Support and enhance business intelligence and analytics platforms that provide insights across the organization.
Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to the ongoing evolution of Roswell Park's enterprise data strategy.
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance on complex data architecture and integration initiatives.
What You'll Bring:

Enterprise data architecture and systems integration
Data engineering, ETL development, and data pipeline design

Cloud-based analytics and reporting solutions
Leading technical projects and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders
Highly qualified candidates may also have experience with:
Healthcare analytics and healthcare data environments
Clinical, financial, human resources, revenue cycle, and operational data domains
Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, StrataJazz, or similar business intelligence platforms
Building and supporting modern reporting and analytics ecosystems
Data virtualization and interoperability solutions
Developing data pipelines and automation solutions using Python or PHP
Supporting enterprise reporting strategies and self-service analytics capabilities

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience1. Master’s degree in computer science, management information systems or a related field and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time experience with development of multi-server software applications, web services, and advanced server or database administration; or
2. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems or a related field and the equivalent of six (6) years of full-time experience with development of multi-server software applications, web services, and advanced server or database administration.
NOTE: Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting healthcare analytics in operational, financial, human resources, clinical, and revenue cycle data domains and have experience performing data validation, reconciliation, and data quality management activities. Experience developing data pipelines using PHP or Python is required as is experience supporting business intelligence and analytics platforms such as Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, StrataJazz or similar technologies.
