Individual assists the research nurse/coordinator in conducting clinical trials. The research assistant is responsible for collecting, processing storing and handling clinical specimens, scheduling study patients for follow-up, and collecting, recording, and filing clinical data. Type of Opportunity: Full time Job Exempt: No Job is based: PMG - Kaseman Work Shift: Days (United States of America)Responsibilities:
- Documents on case report forms
- Retrieve medical records (electronic and/or paper records)
- May collect clinical data such as vital signs, EKG recordings, weights, etc.
- Perform phlebotomy as directed by the study plan and transport specimens to the laboratory
- Accurately enter data in sponsor portals
- Maintain accurate files and organized records for sponsor audits
- Collect specimens, process, store and ship blood/tissue specimens as required by study.
- Collect source documents
- File and pull study records as needed by physicians, research nurse and study monitors
- Schedule study appointments for patients
- Triage research-related phone calls to the proper source
- Responsible for long-term follow-up
- Performs other functions as required.
Qualifications:
- HS/GED
- 2 yrs of research experience; or Medical Assistant (prefer certified)/Laboratory Technician with at least 6 months of clinical experience.
Preferred Qualification: Certified Phlebotomist
