Job Description
Job Summary**
Responsible for the product development and lifecycle management of credit cards, unsecured and secured financing, and other wealth-building products for the Consumer Banking and Wealth Management (CBWM) division, specifically focusing on the Working Bank (WB) and Emerging Enterprise (EE) segments at United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd. This role involves driving strategic product initiatives, enhancing existing offerings, and ensuring competitive positioning in the market.
Job Responsibilities**
* Lead the end-to-end product development process for new credit card, unsecured loan, secured loan, and other wealth-building products tailored for the WB and EE customer segments.
* Manage the entire product lifecycle of assigned products, including regular performance reviews, product enhancements, pricing strategies, and discontinuation when necessary.
* Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats, staying abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and customer needs.
* Collaborate closely with various internal stakeholders including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Technology teams to ensure seamless product launches and effective ongoing management.
* Develop and implement comprehensive product strategies, business cases, and financial projections to support new product introductions and existing product optimizations.
* Monitor and analyze product profitability, portfolio performance, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and drive growth.
* Oversee the development and execution of product training materials for sales and customer service teams.
* Ensure all product offerings comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
* Drive innovation in product features, digital capabilities, and customer experience for the assigned product portfolio.
Job Qualifications**
* Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree is an advantage.
* Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in product development and management within the financial services industry, specifically with credit cards, loans, or wealth management products.
* Proven track record of successfully launching and managing financial products, with a strong understanding of product lifecycle management.
* In-depth knowledge of the Malaysian consumer banking market, including regulatory landscape and competitive environment.
* Experience in serving the Working Bank (WB) and/or Emerging Enterprise (EE) customer segments is highly desirable.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data, financial performance, and customer insights to drive strategic decisions.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
* Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
