About the Role
As an Instruments Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling, calibrating, testing, and reworking instruments and sub-assemblies while ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and productivity. You will work in a clean, team-oriented manufacturing environment and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.

In This Role, You Will
- Assemble, calibrate, test, troubleshoot, and rework instruments, optics, and sub-assemblies according to engineering specifications, blueprints, and work instructions
- Perform in-process inspections to ensure product quality and compliance with standards
- Meet productivity, quality, scrap, and rework objectives
- Read and interpret assembly drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation
- Maintain an organized work area using 5S principles
- Support inventory accuracy through Kanban and FIFO processes
- Properly maintain tools, equipment, and workstations
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to improve processes and product performance
- Follow all safety guidelines and manufacturing procedures
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Technical, electronics, manufacturing, or vocational training preferred
- At least one year of assembly experience in a manufacturing, electronics, or production environment
- Basic computer and keyboard skills
- Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity with the ability to work with small components
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, specifications, and procedures
- Experience using hand tools and power tools
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Ability to work safely with manufacturing materials and chemicals while following established safety procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience assembling precision instruments, optics, or electronic components
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Kanban, FIFO, or continuous improvement practices
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

The compensation range for this role is $17.50 - $18.00 USD per hour. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
