Job Description:
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a key role on Pacific Life's Digital Transformation FAST Contract Administration Team, serving as a trusted partner to business stakeholders, leadership, and technology teams. In this role, you will analyze business processes, define requirements, and help guide the successful adoption of our modern contract administration platform.
You will provide critical insight into business workflows and operational needs while collaborating across business and technology teams to deliver innovative solutions. As part of a dynamic Agile team of analysts, developers, testers, and business partners, you will help drive the continued evolution of Pacific Life's annuity administration capabilities.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Analyze business needs and translate complex requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Partner with Product Owners to refine and prioritize the product backlog, define use cases, and ensure shared understanding across stakeholders.
- Solve complex business and system challenges through creative problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Digital Transformation, and Technology teams.
- Lead and contribute to application design, requirements, and solution-design sessions.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, releases, and retrospectives to continuously improve team performance and delivery.
- Develop deep expertise in annuity contract administration processes and the systems that support them.
- Serve as a key point of contact for production support, incident resolution, business inquiries, and operational issue management.
- Facilitate communication between business and technical teams to ensure successful solution delivery and adoption.
The Experience You Will Bring
- 5-8 years of business analysis experience or equivalent experience in contract administration, with a strong understanding of annuity administration processes such as New Business, Customer Service, and In-Force Administration.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, in Business, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and navigate ambiguity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate both business and technical concepts.
- Proven ability to independently coordinate multiple complex initiatives and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong relationship-building, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes and build consensus across diverse teams.
What Will Make You Stand Out
- Experience working in Agile software development environments; Scrum Master or Product Owner certification is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with the FAST Annuity platform.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Proven success modernizing, automating, or transforming business processes and technology solutions.
- Strong understanding of Annuity Operations processes and workflows.
- Experience supporting large-scale system implementations, platform migrations, or digital transformation initiatives.

Base Pay Range:
The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
