We are looking for a motivated SOC Analyst to join our Security Operations Center (SOC) and help protect the organisation’s digital environment. In this role, you will monitor security events, investigate alerts, and support the response to cybersecurity incidents using a range of security technologies.
You will work closely with internal teams and stakeholders across the business, communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to operational documentation, playbooks, and process improvements while building experience in a collaborative, global cybersecurity environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events to identify potential threats, intrusions, or indicators of compromise.
• Investigate, triage, and support the response to cybersecurity incidents in line with established procedures and playbooks.
• Analyse alert and event data to assess severity, impact, and appropriate next steps.
• Work with internal teams to support incident investigation, containment, and remediation activities.
• Collaborate with the Cybersecurity Detection team to help improve detection use cases and monitoring capabilities.
• Contribute to the tuning and optimisation of monitoring tools and detection rules to improve alert quality and reduce false positives.
• Maintain clear and accurate documentation, including procedures, playbooks, and investigation notes.
• Provide guidance to stakeholders on security risks and recommended actions where appropriate.
• Identify opportunities to improve SOC processes and support automation initiatives that enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in cybersecurity, information security, IT operations, or a related technical area.
• A foundational understanding of security monitoring, incident triage, and incident response processes.
• Experience working in a global environment would be an advantage.

Skills and Knowledge

• Knowledge of security technologies such as SIEM, EDR, firewalls, and related monitoring tools.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint; familiarity with other Microsoft Defender tools would be beneficial.
• A good understanding of common security concepts, methodologies, and operational processes.
• Knowledge of computer networks, operating systems, and basic scripting or programming.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience with ServiceNow & ServiceNow Security Incident Response (SIR).
• Experience supporting or implementing SOC process automation.
• Exposure to working in a global or multi-regional security operations environment.
