Description
This position posting runs on a continuous open cycle and creates a pool of candidates for consideration when a part time, substitute instructor position is available.

Maylands Pre-College Programs offer a variety of instruction in:

- Life Skills

- Correctional Education
- Adult Literacy
Substitute Instructors are responsible for assisting adults with building academic skills in reading, writing, speaking, listening, and math to facilitate success in the workplace and the community.
- Follow pre-planned lessons to create a positive learning experience for students
- Work cooperatively with teachers and coordinators to maintain the role of the teacher when substituting in a classroom.
- Manage the classroom effectively to encourage student participation, minimize distractions, and maintain a positive learning environment
- Promote a favorable image and positive attitude.
