Senior Developer

Overview

Our client is a leading SI seeking an experienced Senior Java Full Stack Developer to join their project team on a 12‑month contract. You will help design and deliver enterprise-grade digital solutions for key clients, working closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• ⁠Design, develop and maintain enterprise-scale web applications using Java, Spring Boot and modern front-end technologies (e.g. React.js).
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices to support scalable, high-performance systems. 
• Collaborate with architects, product owners and QA to translate requirements into technical solutions following SDLC best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues, optimize application performance and drive continuous improvements.
• Work within an Agile environment (Scrum / Kanban), contributing to sprint planning, code reviews and deployment activities. 

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
• Minimum 3 years of years of hands-on software development experience delivering enterprise applications or digital solutions.
• Strong expertise in backend and full stack development with:
  • Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA
  • RESTful API and microservices-based architectures
• Frontend development experience with React.js or similar modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Solid understanding of SDLC, from requirements analysis, design and development through testing, deployment and support.
• Experience working in Agile teams and using tools such as Git and Jira.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with onshore and offshore teams.
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and messaging/caching platforms (e.g. Kafka, Redis) is a plus.
• Exposure to AWS services such as ECS, S3 and Lambda is a plus.
• Good command in both English and Chinese.
