WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Dice Dealer is responsible for conducting professional, accurate, and efficient craps games while delivering exceptional guest service in accordance with company policies, Nevada Gaming Control Board regulations, and internal controls. This position ensures game integrity, maintains a positive gaming environment, and provides an entertaining and memorable experience for guests.

ROLE EXPECTATIONS

Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:

  • Conduct craps games in accordance with established gaming procedures and internal controls.

  • Deal accurately, efficiently, and professionally while maintaining game pace and integrity.

  • Exchange currency and gaming chips according to established cash handling procedures.

  • Announce game actions, payouts, and winning combinations clearly and professionally.

  • Calculate and pay winning wagers accurately while collecting losing wagers.

  • Verify wagers are placed correctly and resolve patron questions regarding game rules and procedures.

  • Monitor gaming activity to ensure compliance with all gaming regulations and company policies.

  • Identify and report suspicious activity, irregularities, or violations to the Floor Supervisor or Pit Manager immediately.

  • Maintain an organized, clean, and professional gaming table throughout the shift.

  • Provide exceptional customer service by engaging guests in a courteous, respectful, and professional manner.

  • Work collaboratively with supervisors, dealers, security, surveillance, and other departments to ensure efficient casino operations.

  • Promote responsible gaming practices and maintain awareness of company responsible gaming policies.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Successful completion of a comprehensive dealer training program or an equivalent amount of relevant experience.

  • An in-depth knowledge of the specific casino games offered at the Rio Hotel and Casino, coupled with the ability to quickly adapt to new games and rules.

  • Strong mathematical and communication skills.

  • Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills, with an unwavering commitment to exceeding guest expectations.

  • The capacity to excel in a fast-paced, high-pressure gaming environment.

  • Meticulous attention to detail and unfailing accuracy in cash handling.

  • Must meet the age requirement for gaming employees in Las Vegas and hold any required gaming licenses or permits.

PREFERRED

  • Prior experience in Casino industry

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to work under time constraints and within established deadlines.

  • Must regularly lift and/move up 25 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This role may entail exposure to cigarette smoke, high-volume background noise, and varying shift schedules, including evening and late-night hours. It also necessitates prolonged periods of standing to facilitate games and engage with patrons.
