Job Description

As a Security Officer - Full Time in Downers Grove, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy retail location where you will serve as the front desk presence, greeting visitors, managing access, and supporting security-related operations through strong communication and customer service. In this stationary role, you will help to deter incidents by staying visible, attentive, and professional while reflecting our caring culture, teamwork, reliability, agility, innovation, and integrity every day.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service at the front desk by following site-specific policies, handling visitor interactions, and supporting security-related procedures for a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Monitor lobby and entrance activity, help to deter unauthorized access, and verify visitor, vendor, and delivery information in accordance with site guidelines.
• Support front desk operations by answering questions, documenting incidents, maintaining daily logs, and communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and/or client representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
