Waste Minimisation Assistant

We’re looking for a Waste Minimization Assistant to join the team and help deliver good work, safely and to a high standard. This is a hands-on, entry-level role where you’ll support waste and operational activities, work outdoors, and play a real part in keeping things running smoothly.

You’ll be part of a team that backs each other, takes safety seriously, and gets stuck in when it counts. If you’re practical, reliable, and keen to learn, this is a solid first step at Fulton Hogan.

Ngā tino kawenga mahi | Key role responsibilities

• Support waste minimisation and operational work safely, efficiently, and to programme.
• Follow HSEQ, environmental, and job-specific procedures, with safety and Zero Harm front of mind.
• Complete plant, machinery, and tool checks, and only operate equipment you’re trained and licensed to use.
• Report hazards, incidents, near misses, and help maintain accurate operational and compliance records.
• Work closely with the team and interact respectfully with the public while delivering quality outcomes.

• A strong commitment to safety, wellbeing, and doing the job right every time.
• A practical, hands-on approach and comfort working outdoors in varying conditions.
• A reliable, team-focused attitude with a willingness to listen, learn, and pitch in.
• Basic knowledge of machinery and tools, including safe use, maintenance, and care.
• A full driver licence, with Class 2, RTW, or fork-hoist licences an advantage.
