Summary:
The Fitness Center Specialist (FCS) is a front-line staff member to Recreational Sports and Fitness (RecFit) facilities. The FCS is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining effective front desk services, and cleaning of the fitness facility and equipment.
Essential Functions:
Create a welcoming, inclusive, and genuine environment for all patrons and visitors.
Maintain a secure and safe environment for all patrons by checking AUIDs, confirming membership in Fusion, and asking guests to sign in to the facility.
Inform patrons of facility and department events, programs, and policies.
Assist patrons with questions, comments, and concerns to provide an exceptional customer-centric experience in-person and over the phone.
Maintain detailed records of lost and found items so members can acquire the correct belongings efficiently.
Provide patrons with requested recreational and fitness equipment using equipment rental check-in/check-out procedures.
Assist the MOD with enforcement of fitness center policies.
Clean the fitness equipment and organize cleaning stations.
Fulfill all duties as assigned by the RecFit Professional Staff and Manager-On-Duty.
Be present for all scheduled shifts and staff training.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Part-time.
10 - 15 hours per week.
Salary Range:
$18.40 per hour.
Required Education and Experience:
Experience working in a customer service setting.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to exercise good judgment.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification.
