Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 / year
Description
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software using established best practices for creating readable and maintainable code
- Investigate, prototype, and implement solutions to complex system design challenges
- Prioritize identifying and resolving bugs to ensure the best user experience
- Collaborate with product managers and subject-matter experts to define roadmaps and anticipate technical roadblocks
- Work closely with local and offshore engineering teams to ensure the highest level of code quality
- Assist with other special projects and duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications & Competencies:
- At least 3 years of experience in Python (Django, Flask, or other frameworks) and REST APIs
- Expert-level understanding of databases with an emphasis on SQL
- Basic understanding of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- 5+ years of professional experience developing applications in an Agile environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline
Preferred Qualifications & Competencies:
- Understanding of software design principles and common design patterns
- Experience building cloud-native solutions (AWS preferred)
- Experience conducting in-depth code reviews
- Experience working within complex or enterprise-level software environments
