Role Purpose
The role of the Project Manager is to assist with and, where required, to co-ordinate planning & execution of transformation projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will be able to work independently or with the Program Managers through the project initiation process, help to oversee quality control throughout the project’s life cycle and formal closure and review for each project.

Key responsibilities include:

 

• • Engage with stakeholders companywide to understand and advise on their objectives and problems.
  • Support the delivery of benefits from transformational programs or projects, taking ownership from start to finish.
  • Build and maintain effective communications with key stakeholders, cross functional leaders and project team members.
  • Lead or support project activities, plans, and schedules associated with deliverables and milestones.
  • Manage the project execution to deliver tangible deliverables within businesses and support functions.
  • Support knowledge management efforts with clients and within the team.
  • Work with the relevant business area in helping to identify other areas of transformation opportunity within the same project or business area.
  • Utilize project management disciplines and where necessary provide input to improve the processes and documents within project management systems.
  • Preferably have previous experience in one or more relevant areas [e.g., Operating Model Design, Process Design & Optimization, Change Management & Communications].

 

The Candidate

The successful candidate will combine the ability to lead multiple teams/workstreams with project management skills and prior experience delivering the benefits of transformational change.

The candidate needs a demonstrable and highly commercial mind-set, strong financial acumen in addition to excellent listening and communication skills.  A logical, structured approach to problem solving and common sense are key.

Experience

• • Professional experience, ideally with a top-tier strategy consulting firm and/or with a firm with a well-established transformation agenda.
  • Direct experience of major international business transformation projects.
  • Excellent analytical and program management skills are essential.
  • Commercially and financially astute, comfortable with company P&L and, ideally, also balance sheet.
  • Diverse industry and functional backgrounds gained through consulting or elsewhere.
  • Understanding of or exposure to global real estate markets preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to effectively design, gain alignment and successfully execute significant transformation change initiatives from project start to finish.
