Job Description
As a Security Officer Armed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Brownsville, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a busy retail grocery location. In this driving post, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will contribute to a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first, collaborates to deliver results, and acts with integrity.

- Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and team members while carrying out security-related procedures and location-specific policies.
- Maintain a professional armed presence and follow all firearm handling, licensing, and use-of-force requirements in accordance with applicable laws and Allied Universal policies.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, receiving areas, parking lots, and the perimeter, to help deter theft, trespassing, and other prohibited activity.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting law enforcement and/or emergency services when appropriate.
- Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and security-related incidents, and complete clear and accurate documentation.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
