Responsibilities:
- Build and manage production schedules that balance customer demand, production capacity, inventory targets, and on-time delivery commitments.
- Leverage ERP systems (SAP preferred) to plan, prioritize, and monitor manufacturing activities while maintaining accurate planning data.
- Coordinate closely with production, procurement, logistics, customer service, and manufacturing leadership to align priorities and resolve scheduling challenges.
- Navigate a highly complex product mix by planning low-volume, high-mix production while accounting for long lead-time raw materials and evolving business needs.
- Identify risks before they become problems by proactively managing material shortages, capacity constraints, and shifting customer requirements.
- Analyze production and inventory data to improve planning accuracy, optimize inventory levels, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Influence cross-functional decisions by providing data-driven recommendations that support operational performance, customer satisfaction, and business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Experience in production planning, scheduling, supply chain, operations, manufacturing, or a related environment.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems, with SAP experience strongly preferred.
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in complex and changing situations.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multiple functions and effectively influence stakeholders without direct authority.
- Comfort working with data and planning metrics to identify trends, solve problems, and support business decisions.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage competing demands and rapidly changing priorities.
- Strong communication skills and a continuous improvement mindset, with a willingness to challenge the status quo and drive better outcomes.
