Description
This role works onsite at our Global Ministry Center in Colorado Springs, CO. Preference will be given to candidates who are local to Colorado Springs.
Overview
As a Production Associate II, you will be part of a team that is crucial to the successful and efficient functioning of Compassion’s distribution center. This associate processes package shipments, bulk mailings, and letters with a high attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness in support of Compassion's marketing and communication efforts. The associate must also track accurately and report on capacity, efficiency, usage, production and expense data daily, weekly and monthly to inform leadership decisions.
What will you do?
Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion’s ministry in prayer.
Acts as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Understands Christ’s mandate to protect children. Commits to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abides by all behavioral expectations in Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Reports any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately supports responses to incidents if they occur.
Uphold and engage in Compassion’s core Cultural Behaviors.
Follows daily production assignments including, setup, operation, and maintenance of production equipment such as mail meters. Will be responsible to prepare and ship daily orders for marketing events and product to our National Offices.
Sort through incoming and outgoing mail, paying attention to the many details of shipping instructions.
Coordinate shipping and handling with various teams at Compassion.
Supports a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
Documents actions by accurately completing production and quality forms as assigned. Adheres to process and procedure documentation within the scope of daily work.
Participates in team discussions on work processes and issues. Explores simple process improvements within the scope of individual work and provides recommendations to supervisor as appropriate.
May provide some general administrative support.
What do you bring?
Basic Excel and data management skills, including the ability to understand and troubleshoot formulas, identify broken or inefficient formulas, and recommend improved spreadsheet solutions.
Ability to consolidate data from multiple spreadsheets into master reporting files; can sort, filter, validate, and accurately import data.
Demonstrated experience and comfort effectively using multiple and varied software applications to support efficient workflow execution and operational accuracy.
Valid Colorado driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
High school diploma required.
