Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to lead our automation efforts in ensuring data accuracy, system reliability, and testing efficiency across critical data collection software and data pipelines. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining automated testing frameworks that validate the integrity of services, APIs, and data workflows. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and data teams to build scalable test solutions, driving continuous quality improvement across the organization. You should have advanced knowledge of software design and engineering, an eye for detail, and enjoy software troubleshooting.
Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:
- Partner with development leads to capture and understand software specifications and test requirements.
- Evaluate software for intended functional capabilities and properties.
- Design automated test processes for all platform services and tools
- Build unit, integration and end-to-end tests
- Run tests and generate reports
- Work in an Agile environment that focuses on collaboration and teamwork
Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years designing and building automated tests using frameworks like Espresso (for Android), Xctest (Apple), Selenium, Cucumber, and Appium
- 5+ years experience programming with Typescript/JavaScript, Java, Swift and other object-oriented programming languages
- 2+ years experience testing API services for mobile and web devices
- Advanced knowledge of debugging code and software development languages.
- Ability to collate data and compile test reports.
- Excellent software troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to design and write complex software testing procedures
- Excellent communication skills with product and development team to ensure highest test coverage possible
Preferred Qualifications
- Expert level experience with various test frameworks.
- Experience leading and mentoring colleagues on best practices and technical concepts of building large scale solutions
- Extensive experience building automated tests from the ground up
Experience with:
- Typescript/JavaScript, Java, Swift, Espresso (for Android), Xctest (Apple), Selenium, Cucumber, Appium
Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree or better in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent job experience.
