Senior BI Engineer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer with expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data integration, with hands-on experience using Talend as a primary tool. Strong SQL skills are a plus. You will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, data-driven insights that empower business decisions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable BI solutions, including data models, reports, and dashboards.

• Utilize Talend for ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, ensuring seamless data integration.

• Lead efforts in gathering and analyzing business requirements to design BI solutions that meet specific needs.

• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts to support data extraction and transformation.

• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure proper data flow and integration into BI systems.

• Validate and ensure the accuracy of data and reports, performing necessary data cleansing and quality checks.

• Manage and enhance reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker, optimizing performance.

• Define key metrics and KPIs, and create reports to provide actionable insights for business teams.

• Mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership across BI initiatives.

• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, applying best practices to improve BI processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

• 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, data integration, or data analytics.

• Proficiency in Talend for data integration and ETL processes.

• Strong skills in SQL and database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle).

• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.

• Solid understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.

• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.

• Experience working in Agile environments and managing large-scale BI projects.
