Description
Key Responsibilities
- Working with modern survey methods and survey devices such as total stations, GPS, and data collectors.
- Accurately and consistently record underground utility assets and manhole inspection reports.
- Provide the Project Managers and CAD Operators with completed utility survey reports in line with Vision Survey and industry standards.
- Building and maintaining client relationships ensuring we deliver to our client’s expectations.
- Assisting with detailed field and office surveying assignments.
- Checking the quality of information collected onsite and the successful transition to deliverables.
- Ensure that all survey kit is maintained and well-kept.
- Take responsibility for other surveyors and junior team members whilst onsite and in the office.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- This role may involve a rapidly changing environment, so candidates must be able to adapt to change and effectively prioritise their workloads.
- We are looking for someone who can manage multiple tasks, demonstrate flexibility, and contribute positively to our team.
- You should have experience using electromagnetic location and ground penetrating radar, as well as GPS/GNSS systems.
- A solid understanding of industry practices and standards related to utility detection, such as PAS 128 and TSA, is essential.
- Possess a good working knowledge of surveying equipment, including GPR and electromagnetic location detection tools.
- Willingness to travel to various sites across the country is required.
- The ability to work collaboratively within a team and interact with clients on-site is important.
- CCTV/Drainage operatives who are eager to learn surveying skills will also be considered.
- A clean and valid manual driving license is necessary.
Desirable: - CSCS Card folder (This will be required before starting work)
- Total Station Experience
- GPR Post Processing Experience
- AutoCAD / N4CE experience
- Topographical Surveying Experience
- QCF Level 3 or Level 5 for utility mapping
