As a MATES Quality Manager, you will lead quality teams responsible for calibration systems across Boeing's enterprise. The role requires 5+ years of Quality Management Systems experience, 3+ years in a calibration laboratory, and the ability to travel up to 25%.

The Boeing Company is seeking a Metrology and Test Equipment Services (MATES) Quality Manager to join our team in Berkeley, Missouri or Seattle, Washington. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading the quality teams in support of the MATES statement of work. The MATES quality teams support all functions of the calibration systems for the Boeing enterprise.

Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage employees performing quality engineering and technical activities on or in support of programs through all phases of the metrology lifecycle

  • Develop quality strategies and plans in support of new business acquisition and execution of program/business plans

  • Provide education and coaching on the Quality Management System

  • Acquire and manage resources, provides quality technical management and leads performance improvements

  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports

  • Oversee review of technical information to ensure quality and producibility

  • Manage, develop and motivate employees

  • Capable of traveling 25% of the time

Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment: To be considered for this position, you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR completion of the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership

  • The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee

  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)

  • 3+ years of experience in a calibration laboratory

  • 3+ years of experience conducting/leading QMS Audits

  • Experience leading teams across multiple geographic locations

  • Capable of traveling 25% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher

  • 3+ years of experience developing root cause corrective actions

Summary pay range: $112,200 - $162,150
