Overview
This temporary cook position involves planning and designing dinner menus for 25 shelter guests, ordering and managing food supplies, preparing meals that can be frozen for distribution, adapting menus for dietary requirements, and maintaining kitchen hygiene standards. The role requires demonstrated experience cooking in an industrial kitchen, food safety certification (or willingness to obtain), ability to work independently, and strong organizational skills. Hours are 14-21 per week across 2-3 days, ideally including Thursday and Friday.
