PR Account Executive

Allison+Partners is seeking an experienced, motivated Account Executive with a passion for communications to join our fast-growing Singapore office.

Overview

The ideal candidate will have approximately 2 years of public relations or marketing experience within a high-energy agency environment. Our Singapore office serves local and regional clients in a wide range of industries, including consumer, retail, B2B, technology, government and professional services, among others. 

If you are a strategic thinker, self-starter and have an entrepreneurial mindset, we want to hear from you! You will support to client accounts, as well as new business pitches. Our ideal candidate is an ambitious and creative team player who has a passion for public relations.

Responsibilities

• Actively pitches media to secure client coverage leveraging established media relationships
• Regularly meet with media in-person for effective relationship building
• Maintains ongoing knowledge of comms industry and media activity, and actively shares with team and clients, as appropriate
• Drafts press materials, client recommendations, award and executive speaking submissions, and bylines effectively and efficiently
• Develops story angles, both planned and proactive, on behalf of clients
• Demonstrates solid working knowledge of clients, products, competitors, industry, etc.
• Directs and supports event logistics and execution, including on-site support for team and client
• Manages time and projects well, meeting all objectives and deadlines
• Acts as the right hand person to supervising senior account executive or account manager
• Assists with supervision of interns, account coordinators and assistant account executives
• Serves as the primary day-to-day contact for smaller accounts
• Oversees preparation and compilation of client and industry press clippings and client reports
• Conducts research on behalf of clients and the firm
• Reviews media lists and written materials from junior team members before sending to managers for approval
• Maintains excellent communication with team and client
• Takes direction well and follows through with light supervision
• Participates in an Allison+Partners’ committee
• Promotes and upholds Allison+Partners’ core values

Qualifications

• BA or BS in related field required 
• Requires approximately 2 years of public relations, marketing or related experience 
• Works well under pressure 
• Takes initiative and is able to work independently 
• Excellent writer
• Strong media relations skills
