Program Assistant II

Join our Parks & Recreation team as a Part-Time Recreation Program Specialist! In this role, you’ll provide hands-on support for teen programs, including the Teen Recreation Advisory Council, assist with senior (55+) programs and trips, and support group fitness offerings, including the opportunity to lead classes with proper certification. You’ll also help with administrative tasks, community outreach, and transportation for trips. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working directly with participants, building community connections, and helping programs grow.

Key Duties: 
-Support teen, senior/active adult, and group fitness programs, including on-site facilitation.
-Coordinate meetings, activities, trips, special events, and leadership opportunities.
-Manage communication, scheduling, registration, and basic logistics.
-Assist with outreach, community partnerships, and program promotion.
-Provide general administrative support, including recordkeeping and data entry.Minimum Requirements: Must be 21+ years old, possess a valid NC driver’s license, and have strong communication and computer skills. Experience in recreation programs preferred.

Hourly Wage: $16-20 per hour

Schedule: Normal business hours. Will also include early mornings, select overnights (for senior trips), and up to 19 hours per week. Hours may vary based on program needs.
