Position Summary
The Compliance Analyst supports the Transaction Tax Compliance function by preparing, processing, and filing multi‑state transaction tax returns for assigned clients. This role is responsible for collecting and analyzing client data, managing payments, resolving jurisdictional notices, and completing required reporting. The Compliance Analyst applies judgment, accuracy, and organizational skills to ensure compliance with filing requirements across jurisdictions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Collect, analyze, and process client data for timely preparation and filing of transaction tax returns.
Prepare and file transaction tax returns for assigned multi‑state clients.
Prepare check batches and electronic payment submissions.
Monitor, review, and resolve jurisdictional tax notices and correspondence.
Complete month‑end reporting activities, including document uploads, scanning, and year‑to‑date tracking.
Prepare bank reconciliations and payment verifications for applicable clients.
Monitor changes in state and local tax compliance requirements and apply updates as needed.
Maintain professional relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
Support compliance projects such as amended returns, account changes, and account closures.
Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Support management with internal or cross‑functional projects.
Assist with quality reviews and compliance documentation as requested.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
1+ years of experience in a professional, deadline‑driven environment; transaction tax or compliance experience preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Ability to manage high‑volume workloads and meet firm deadlines.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with team members.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. This position does not qualify for employment-based sponsorship.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Work Schedule: Regular, 40 hours/week
Travel: Less than 10%

Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use

Regular interaction with compliance systems and client data.
