Description

We are looking for an experienced and technically competent Cleanroom Finishing / Architectural Engineer to oversee cleanroom envelope and interior fit-out works across project sites in Malaysia. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in cleanroom construction, strong technical knowledge of cleanroom partition, ceiling and flooring systems, and the ability to manage site execution, quality and coordination across multiple disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

Technical & Construction Management

  • Lead the overall coordination, technical briefing, on-site supervision, inspection and acceptance of cleanroom interior fit-out works throughout the construction process.
  • Ensure cleanroom envelope systems meet requirements for cleanliness, airtightness, electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection and process functionality.
  • Monitor construction progress and ensure works are completed according to approved technical requirements, quality standards and project schedules.
  • Provide technical guidance and independently resolve construction and technical issues encountered on site.

Cleanroom Partition & Ceiling Systems

  • Supervise the installation of cleanroom panels, ceiling tee systems, secondary steel structures, clean doors and windows.
  • Ensure proper airtight sealing and control of critical cleanroom details.
  • Monitor workmanship, including flatness, verticality and overall finishing quality.
  • Conduct inspections and coordinate rectification works where required.

Cleanroom Flooring Systems

  • Oversee the installation, process control, quality inspection and acceptance of:
    • Seamless epoxy flooring
    • PVC flooring
    • Anti-static raised access flooring
  • Ensure completed flooring works meet required cleanroom, quality and ESD standards.
  • Manage protection of completed works throughout the construction process.

Cross-Disciplinary Coordination

  • Coordinate with architectural, structural, HVAC, MEP and BMS teams throughout project execution.
  • Manage construction sequences, discipline interfaces, finishing works and rectification activities.
  • Coordinate with relevant subcontractors to ensure smooth execution of cleanroom fit-out works.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues arising from cross-disciplinary interfaces.

Schedule, Quality, Safety & Documentation

  • Monitor project schedules and ensure assigned works are completed according to agreed milestones.
  • Control material quality, workmanship and site safety requirements within the assigned discipline.
  • Coordinate submissions for inspection and approval, including concealed works inspection and acceptance.
  • Coordinate testing and commissioning activities.
  • Prepare and hand over as-built drawings and project completion documentation.
  • Ensure completed works are properly protected prior to final handover.


Requirements

  • Diploma or above in Civil Engineering, Architectural Decoration, MEP Engineering, Cleanroom Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in complete cleanroom fit-out projects, particularly within semiconductor or new energy manufacturing facilities.
  • Strong technical knowledge of cleanroom partition, ceiling and flooring systems.
  • Familiar with airtight, dust-free and ESD construction standards.
  • Good knowledge of ISO 14644 cleanroom standards.
  • Strong expertise in cleanroom detailing, finishing and sealing techniques.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD; BIM skills will be an added advantage.
  • Proficient in technical drawing interpretation, technical briefings, quality and schedule control, and subcontractor management.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive, with strong execution, communication and coordination skills.
  • Excellent command in spoken and written Mandarin.

Remuneration & Benefits

Salary: RM4,000 - RM6,000
