Clinical Territory Manager I – Central Plains

Position Spotlight:

  • Provide industry-leading clinical and surgical support while helping grow Cochlear’s business across Nebraska, Iowa, and South Dakota.
  • Apply your audiology or hearing-healthcare experience in a customer-facing role that combines clinical expertise, education, relationship building, and sales.
  • Develop expertise across Cochlear’s cochlear implant and bone conduction product portfolio.
  • Build strong relationships with surgeons, audiologists, operating room teams, and other hearing-healthcare professionals.
  • Candidates must reside within the Central Plains territory and be willing to travel up to 60%, including overnight stays.

If you know a career motivated Audiologist, who has some knowledge of cochlear implant hearing solutions, this is a fantastic opportunity to join the field sales team at the global leader in implantable hearing devices! In this role, you will be based within the Central Plains territory covering Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota.

To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong clinical foundation and an interest in developing your sales and business capabilities. You will provide clinical, technical, and surgical support to hearing-healthcare professionals while building trusted relationships throughout the territory. As you grow your knowledge of Cochlear’s cochlear implant and bone conduction solutions, you will help educate customers, identify opportunities, support territory initiatives, and contribute to achieving annual sales goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical, technical, and surgical support for Cochlear's cochlear implant and bone conduction product portfolio.
  • Educate and support surgeons, audiologists, operating room teams, and other hearing healthcare professionals through training, workshops, and product demonstrations.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships while serving as a trusted clinical and business partner throughout the territory.
  • Support territory sales objectives by identifying opportunities, understanding customer needs, and effectively positioning Cochlear solutions.
  • Execute territory business plans, sales initiatives, product launches, and customer education programs to drive growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional customer support, uphold compliance standards, and contribute to territory success.


Key Requirements

To add value to Cochlear in this role you'll be able to meet and demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and abilities in your application and at interview:

  • Master's Degree / Au.D
  • 1‐2 years Cochlear ACTM experience and/or 1‐2 years hearing healthcare sales experience to include: sales planning, budgeting/forecasting, and responsibility for a revenue quota or target.
  • 1‐2 years of Audiology clinical/surgical support experience and/or 1‐2 years of Hearing Healthcare Sales experience.
  • Demonstrated prioritization and organization skills and highly effective presentation skills.
  • Prior clinical experience, preferably with cochlear implants, sales and business acumen and/or Demonstrated experience/knowledge in cochlear implant surgical settings.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 60% with overnight stays.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Depending on territory coverage requirements, must also have access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Must meet all credentialing requirements to obtain hospital and surgical center access.

  • Pay Range in the United States: $88,000–$93,000 annually, based upon experience, as well as a generous commission opportunity. Exact compensation will vary based on skills, experience, and location.
