DESCRIPTION:
As Director of Product Management at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will guide strategic product development and lifecycle management for advanced scientific solutions that enable our customers to make breakthrough discoveries. You'll advance innovation and growth by developing comprehensive product strategies, roadmaps, and go-to-market plans aligned with customer needs and market opportunities. You'll collaborate across functions to deliver differentiated solutions while managing P&L responsibility for your portfolio. You'll develop and guide teams, support a culture of innovation, and serve as a key representative for Thermo Fisher Scientific to customers and industry partners. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by bringing transformative scientific products to market that help make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in progressive product management in life sciences, scientific instruments, or related industry
• Preferred Fields of Study: science, engineering, or business-related field
• Additional certifications in product management or relevant areas beneficial
• 5+ years of people leadership experience managing global teams
• Strong P&L management and business acumen with track record of driving revenue growth
• Deep understanding of product lifecycle management from concept through commercialization
• Expertise in voice of customer research, market analysis, and competitive intelligence
• Proven ability to develop and execute product strategies and roadmaps
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in a highly matrixed global organization
• Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills to drive data-based decisions
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities
• Demonstrated success in developing teams
• Ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries
• Knowledge of quality systems and regulatory requirements (ISO, CE, FDA, etc.)
• Willingness to travel up to 30% internationally
• Strong project management capabilities and attention to detail
• Proficiency with financial modeling and business case development
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $192,100.00–$256,100.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
