Trusted Doctors is a network of pediatric practices dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care. Our teams are committed to promoting the health and well-being of children from infancy through adolescence through comprehensive, family-centered medical services.
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our pediatric practice. The Physician Assistant will provide primary and preventive healthcare services to infants, children, and adolescents while collaborating with our physicians and clinical team to support the best possible outcomes for patients and their families.
This position offers a predictable schedule with no Saturday or holiday shifts and no hospital rounds. After-hours call is supported by a nurse triage service that handles most calls, helping to provide a manageable call responsibility and a healthy work-life balance.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct well-child examinations, developmental screenings, and preventive health assessments.
- Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic pediatric conditions.
- Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests.
- Prescribe medications, treatments, and therapies in accordance with state law, the practice agreement, and established clinical guidelines.
- Provide anticipatory guidance and educate families about child development, nutrition, safety, immunizations, and disease prevention.
- Collaborate with pediatricians, specialists, and other members of the healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Provide compassionate support and guidance to children and their families.
- Participate in the practice’s shared after-hours call rotation, with support from a nurse triage service.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current NCCPA certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C).
- Active, unrestricted Virginia Physician Assistant license or eligibility for Virginia licensure.
- Pediatric or primary care experience preferred.
- Current BLS certification; PALS certification preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
