Overview
The Senior Network Technician will support, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize IT and OT network infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and operational continuity across corporate, industrial, and railway environments throughout the Florida East Coast (FEC) railroad network.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot IT and OT network infrastructure.
- Support LAN, WAN, WLAN, and industrial network environments across distributed FEC locations.
- Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, wireless infrastructure, and OT network equipment.
- Assist with network segmentation initiatives and implementation of industrial DMZ environments.
- Monitor network performance, availability, and security using enterprise monitoring tools.
- Diagnose and resolve Level 2 and Level 3 network incidents and outages.
- Perform firmware upgrades, patching, hardware replacements, and lifecycle maintenance activities.
- Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and network resiliency initiatives.
- Maintain network documentation, diagrams, standards, and operational procedures.
- Coordinate with engineering, cybersecurity, operations, and third-party vendors.
- Participate in on-call support and emergency response activities.
- Travel frequently to FEC operational and field locations.

Qualifications
Technical Knowledge
• Routing & Switching fundamentals (VLANs, STP, OSPF, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS); Enterprise networking and wireless technologies; Firewall administration and security fundamentals; Industrial networking concepts; Modbus, DNP3, OPC; Purdue Model and OT cybersecurity best practices.
Required Experience
• 5+ years supporting enterprise, industrial, or transportation network environments, including Cisco/Fortinet platforms and distributed operations.
Certifications
• Required: CCNA. Preferred: CCNP, Fortinet Certified Professional, CompTIA Network+, IEC 62443.
Languages
• Spanish: Advanced/Native. English: Advanced (spoken and written).
