## The impact you’ll make
At Lam, as an EH&S Engineer, you're instrumental in developing, implementing, and monitoring environmental safety programs and policies. Ensuring compliance with regulations, you'll perform safety inspections, conduct trainings, and oversee hazardous waste vendors and processes. Your expertise spans to life safety, workplace ergonomics, and monitoring industrial health compliance. Acting as a liaison with regulatory agencies you'll not only stay current but also reinforce Lam's commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
## What you’ll do
As a Health Specialist, you will play a key role in protecting and promoting the health and well-being of employees while ensuring compliance with occupational health regulations and company standards.
- Perform all duties required of an Occupational Health Manager (Health Specialist) in accordance with applicable occupational health and safety regulations.
- Manage employee health surveillance programs, including pre-employment, periodic, special, and return-to-work medical examinations.
- Conduct follow-up case management and health consultations based on medical examination results.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate health promotion and wellness programs to improve employee health and engagement.
- Operate and manage the on-site Health Center/Medical Room, including employee health counseling and first-aid support.
- Coordinate and support Occupational Health and Safety Committee meetings and related activities.
- Manage workplace exposure assessments, including work environment monitoring and industrial hygiene evaluations.
- Conduct chemical hazard assessments and support risk management initiatives.
- Develop and deliver occupational health training programs and awareness campaigns for employees.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external medical providers to ensure effective occupational health management and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain accurate health records and prepare reports required by regulatory authorities and company leadership.
## Who we’re looking for
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing, Occupational Health, Public Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, or a related field.
- Registered Nurse (RN) License, Certified Industrial Hygienist Engineer
- Minimum 5 years of experience in occupational health, employee health management, or a related EHS function.
- Strong knowledge of occupational health regulations, industrial hygiene principles, and workplace health promotion programs.
- Experience managing employee medical surveillance programs and health-related case management.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
## Preferred qualifications

- Experience in the semiconductor, manufacturing, or high-tech industry.
- Experience managing occupational health programs in a multinational organization.
- Knowledge of chemical risk assessment and industrial ventilation principles.
- Certification in occupational health, ergonomics, health promotion, or related disciplines.
- Experience with government health certification programs and workplace wellness initiatives.
- Proficiency in English communication and report writing.

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
