Job Description

This position is in North Kansas City

The Licensed or License-Eligible QMHP provides advanced clinical and leadership support while delivering mental health services to individuals and groups. This role provides crisis intervention, risk assessments, diagnostic impressions, short-term stabilization, therapy, and discharge planning. The QMHP develops individualized treatment strategies and collaborates with internal and external providers to meet the needs of a diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group mental health treatment using evidence-based and clinically appropriate approaches.

  • Conduct crisis interventions, risk assessments, and diagnostic impressions utilizing DSM guidelines.

  • Provide short-term stabilization services and coordinate discharge planning and follow-up care.

  • Develop treatment strategies based on patient needs and established clinical standards.

  • Serve as a clinical resource and provide leadership and support to team members.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and internal and external treatment providers.

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and professional documentation.

  • Promote quality improvement, patient safety, cultural diversity, and compliance with organizational standards.

  • Maintain current clinical knowledge and participate in required training and professional development.

Minimum Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited program in counseling, psychology, social work, family therapy, or a closely related field.

  • Current Missouri LCSW, LPC, or LMFT; or PLPC, LMSW, or PLMFT actively pursuing clinical licensure under approved supervision.

  • License-eligible candidates must agree to pursue clinical licensure and maintain required documentation and supervision throughout the process.

  • Knowledge of psychiatric terminology, diagnosis, mental health assessment, and treatment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and adapt to a changing work environment.

  • Completion of required orientation and training within established timelines.

  • Must meet Fleet Driving Safety and Compliance Policy requirements if driving is required.
